The Saudi government has released an important update in its efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. All private sector companies are advised the following:
First: (preferred) Suspending employees’ coming to the main offices for a period of 15 days.
Second: The private sector establishments reduce the number of workers in its offices to the minimum necessary for the conduct of work and the continuation of supply chains and that the number of workers present does not exceed 40% of the total employees at the facility’s headquarters.
For companies still requiring employees to work on site, they must meet the precautionary requirements set out by the Ministry of Health which can be found here. For those companies who need an exception to either of these measures need to follow the link and request one from the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Development.
It is important to note that Jawazat is still taking manual tasks whereas other government authorities are only accepting electronic applications, for more information on how this affects your business operations, please contact your account manager.
