Saudi Arabia is launching an instant work-visa service from next month, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The service is designed to help small businesses and is available through the Qiwa platform.
The announcement was made during a meeting with entrepreneurs where the government’s commitment to provide help to small businesses was reiterated.
The service will enable young Saudis to launch start up projects, open small businesses, boost economic growth and accelerate business expansion plans which will have a positive impact on national development.
Extensive research was carried out to clarify the requirements of small businesses with expat workers so the visa service would be beneficial and help new businesses maintain stability and continuity during the early phases.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Development have also launched a visa service for established businesses in the process of expanding.
