The first phase of construction for Neom, the futuristic $500bn city in Saudi Arabia is complete and it covered the economic concept, funding and development plans. The second phase will cover the detailed plans for the 16 economic sectors and regions.
The phase two strategy will be completed and announced by the end of 2019, according to Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of Neom. Al-Nasr gave the update to over 160 diplomats at Neom’s first beach sports event in Gayal, the site of Neom’s first commercial airport.
The city is advanced and innovative, with robots offering services and the city powered solely by wind and solar energy.
