The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced the opening of the NEOM Bay Airport in the northern region of Saudi Arabia.
The completion of the first phase and the registration by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has licensed the airport as a commercial airport which is ready to facilitate commercial flights from next week, with the symbol “NUM”. The NEOM Bay airport will operate regular flights for investors and employees of the NEOM project.
The airport, modern and distinctive, is strategically placed between the Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt border, providing new access to the Red Sea and giving 70% of the world’s population access to the airport by air within 8 hours. The area of the airport is 3643 square metres and can accommodate up to six aircrafts.
