Saudi’s $500bn mega zone NEOM appoints tourism head

Saudi Arabia’s $500 billion NEOM project has appointed Aradhana Khowala as the new CEO.

Khowala is currently the CEO of hospitality and tourism consulting practice Aptamind Partners which advises governments, investors and other organizations.

According to Reuters, the NEOM city is intended to be “an oasis of stunning cliffs, sandy beaches and high-tech projects powered by wind and solar energy where robots outnumber humans and a cosmopolitan lifestyle offers sports, concerts and fine dining”.

The development is expected to cover 26,500 sq km and extend into Egypt and Jordan, however, few details of the project have been released.
