On Wednesday the UAE approved a decision to grant visa on arrival to Indian passport holders who have a residence visa from either the UK or the European Union.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Earlier this year, the UAE Cabinet had approved a decision to grant visa on arrival for Indian passport holders with either a valid US visa or a green card.
The decision supports the long-term strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of India and the promotion of political, economic and trade interests between the two countries. This decision strengthens the UAE’s external relations by facilitating the visa issuance process in order to confirm its global status as a tourist and economic hub.
